The Apostle Paul’s life stands as a testimony to the deep transformation that takes place when one fully surrenders to God. In 2 Corinthians 11:28, Paul speaks of his overriding concern for all the churches—a burden that he carried daily, beyond the trials and tribulations he endured. Despite facing countless hardships, his heart remained steadfastly devoted to the well-being and growth of the Body of Christ.

Paul’s Deep Concern for the Church

ree

Paul carried a daily burden for all churches, prioritising their spiritual health over his own struggles. His concern wasn’t just a passing thought; it was etched into his heart and shaped his every action. Even in the face of trials, persecution, and suffering, he remained deeply invested in the Church.

Paul’s Transformation

He went from being a persecutor of the Church to becoming one of its greatest defenders. His love and dedication to the Body of Christ was genuine, sacrificial, and relentless. This wasn’t a superficial concern—it was something that defined his mission and purpose.

Applying Paul’s Heart for the Church Today

What if we carried the same deep concern for the Church? Are we willing to pray, intercede, and care for the Body of Christ beyond our own personal lives? Our actions should reflect a heart that is devoted to our brothers and sisters in Christ, just as Paul’s was. The Church is not just a building—it is a living, breathing body of believers that needs our support, love, and encouragement.

A Call to Action

May we, too, be filled with such a burden for the Church, longing for its strength, purity, and unity. Let us ask God to place in us a deep and abiding concern for His people, just as Paul had. May our prayers, sacrifices, and actions reflect a heart that is emptied for the sake of others.
