A few months ago, our community participated in a racial harmony walk. It was a simple act, yet it carried significant weight. It had been a while since our last church picnic in December, and stepping out of our church building together as one people felt refreshing.

The Posture of Our Senior Elder

We began the morning by sharing breakfast with another local church. What struck me immediately was the posture of our Senior Elder (SE). He stood behind the counter, serving others from different backgrounds and faiths.

We have been taught that leadership is not about being elevated above others. Instead, it is about lowering ourselves to serve. It is apostolic to be the first to give, the first to labour, and the first to demonstrate humility. Seeing our Senior Elder place himself behind the counter to serve food and water reminded me of Christ washing His disciples’ feet. His actions spoke volumes without uttering a single word.

For us in KAC, this moment was not casual; it was prophetic. It illustrated that to reach our city and nation, we cannot stand apart. We must embody a posture of service, even when engaging with those of different faiths. Leadership in the Kingdom is revealed in function, not position. It is revealed in obedience, not title. And it is revealed in humility, not pride.

The Kingdom in Action

Before the first word about the event was spoken, the Kingdom was already being preached through action. The act of our SE quietly serving behind the counter declared a greater message. In a world divided by belief, Christ’s Church is called to build bridges, love without compromise, and shine His light in the ordinary.

Building Together

Later, at the national stadium, we participated in a group collage. Piece by piece, strangers and friends built something bigger than themselves. For us, it was a picture of the Kingdom: many parts, yet one body; distinct, yet joined in a greater design.

Praying Along the River

From there, we walked and prayed along the river.

Each step was more than mere motion; it was intercession. We declared blessings over our nation, asking God for ingathering, righteousness, and obedience. We stood as watchmen on the bridge, crossing over physically while prophetically declaring God’s covering over this land.

Recognised as a Partner

This walk also marked a significant moment for us, as KAC was officially recognised as a partner of Admiralty Harmony Circle. We see this as a call to take our place within the wider community—not hidden, but present, committed to peace, and carrying the light of Christ into the public square.

More than Four Walls

The walk was short, but its meaning was profound. We were reminded that life with God cannot be confined to four walls.

Faith is not static. It moves, it walks, and it reaches. We are called to engage with the city, to see people, and to carry His presence into every space.

Looking Ahead

As a family, we look forward to more moments like this. Moments where the Church is not hidden, but visible; not passive, but active; not only gathered, but also sent.

In our journey, we embrace the call to serve and love, reflecting the heart of Christ in every interaction. This is our mission, and we are committed to it wholeheartedly.

Together, we can build a community that embodies unity, love, and understanding. Let us continue to walk this path, hand in hand, as we strive to make a difference in our world.
